Supernatural obsessions...(repost from Wordpress)

What is it with my obsession with the supernatural world? Since I was young I have loved stories about vampires, werewolves, fairies and other magical creatures. Are they really out there? Well if they are like Edward from Twilight or Eric from True Blood I say bring it on, but knowing my luck they would look like Mr Bean or Bill Clinton LOL. I do like the thought of angels being real though, I imagine they are like the angels in City of Angels (Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan movie) watching over your shoulder and helping you through the tough times.
So now my obsession seems to be peaking, I can't get enough of the supernatural world, I have read the Twilight series 3 times and watched the movies heaps. I got Eclipse for Christmas after going to watch it at the movies first.
The movie was great by the way but as always the books are much much better.

That leads me to True Blood a tv series that is definitely for grown ups with heaps of blood and sex. The latest Rolling Stones cover captures it perfectly!  I devoured the series of books written by Charlaine Harris in the last school holidays trying to get up to speed with the series which has just started season three but the programs are completely different to the books. Whats up with that? But now that I have got used to that its good because its like a whole new story line involving the same characters.

I have tracked down several authors lately who write vampire stories, including PC Cast, Mary Janice Davidson..(Extremely funny), Anne Rice (who started it all), Tate Hallaway, and Laurell K Hamilton. I have had to start a journal listing these authors and the series they have written to keep up with it all, thank god for the internet as I'm able to see which libraries have which titles and book them. I have read over 100 books since the beginning of  the year. Luckily I'm a fast reader.
I have still made time for scrapbooking though....

about vampires...LOL!
