Then the children arrived, now I'm lucky to get a haircut every 6 months, the hair dye sits on the shelf for 3 months before I get the 30 minutes needed to put it in, I am always driving around on E, the warrant is always late, the groceries are hit and miss as to when I get to the supermarket, (often I go but have to cut it short due to Ethan falling asleep in the trolley or he loses the plot), I only get to the drs for the kids (it now costs me $24.oo for Western!) I struggle to get our own paperwork done for home but always manage to find time for Playcentre stuff mostly between the hours of 10 and midnight LOL! I have issues with house work often only managing to get the dishes done once a day and we have our very own Mt Washmore in my bedroom. Making the beds only happens when its time to change the sheets and Ethan is scared of the vacuum cause it comes out so rarely! I do more tidying and cleaning at Playcentre, it always seems better cleaning other people's places!
I have been trying a new system for housework from a website called Flylady where she sets up a system for housework with baby steps. I'm still at the crawling stage! Every time I start doing housework I have to sit down and have a coffee to get over the shock!
She has this great ancrom CHAOS it stands for can't have anybody over syndrome, I love it and it is providing the motivation to give the lounge a quick clean up each day.
Does anybody know if it gets better as the kids get older or is this it for the rest of my life?
Update, life with flylady has made my life easier, while I don't do everything she says , she has definitely helped me put routines in that give me back time on the weekends. 15 minutes a day of concentrated cleanup keeps the chaos away LOL!
