Awwwh aint that sweet, Neil and I in our first photo together, he was 21, I was 15. We were in the back yard of my home, it must have been in 1982 hence the Adidas trackpants I was wearing. they were all the rage back then, you know in the old days as my son calls them.
Here we in one of our first flats in Bailey Crescent. I was 16 and he was 22. I was working at McGraths Bookshop by now and he was at a stock food place called Central Feed Mills. Tinted glasses were the rage and these were the first pair of specs I had chosen for myself. We had a black lab called Nuget and a tabby cat called Ratbag. I earned $101 per week and the rent was $100 per week for a damp cold hole.
Here we are in the late 80s at a Hedleys bookshop work do where the booze flowed freely and there was plenty of it. My first work do, (not this one), I had to be taken home after over indulging in champagne cocktails, port and baileys, none of which I touch now. These were meant to be our "official" engagement photos after a colleague told the hosts we had just annouced our engagement. We hadn't but it was fun playing along with the joke.
Our first official photo together, we had gathered with the Morris clan to celebrate Neil's parents wedding anniversary and we all had photos taken. 1987 was the year and yes the trend was for rather large glasses! I was still quite slim then too. Not a grey hair in sight on either of us.
Neil and I as guests at our nephew's wedding, Neil's sister Sheryl stands beside us with his Mum looking on. He was the first nephew to marry and it was a family occasion enjoyed by all. They now have two lovely boys almost grown up. This was in the 90's sometime.
Fast forward to 2006 and here we are at Ngawi, having an official family shoot done with Western. We were spending a few days of the very hot summer in our usual bach and a friend offered to take photos for us. They turned out pretty good. A few more grey hairs and middle aged spread happening here. LOL.
2010 and another rare shot together, (I've had to crop the boys out so we have a photo by ourselves LOL), thank god for hair dye I say! The glasses have got smaller as the body has got bigger LOL. We had been together 29 years now and married for 8.
6th Jan 2012, together 30 years, married for 9, two sons, several dogs, cats, rabbits and birds later, we have arrived at middle age for sure! My hairdresser has experimented with my hair giving me blond streaks which makes me match Neil's streaks....of grey LOL. We have our own house (well we share with the bank) and have lived here for 15 years slowly putting our own stamp on the place. Its currently home to Neil, me, Western and Ethan and of course Molly the dog. Neil's domain is the shed and mine is the house and as long as we remember that life is sweet LOL.

Time sure flies huh?
