On the 23rd day of Christmas

On the 23rd day of Christmas I'm wishing for a sunny day for the big day, not too hot and not too cold but just right. When you get to spend the day away from home you need to be comfortable, there is nothing worse than scratchy, tired and hot kids!

Anyway the lovely Jim Hickey says we are in for a run of fine weather so we must be, he wouldn't lie would he?
Christmas for us will be spent with Neil's family, we are having a cooked lunch and a BBQ tea, all potluck with guidance so we don't end up with 6 potato salads and 3 sausages.
We have been known to end up with 5 bacon and egg pies before!

So tomorrow will be spent frantically wrapping the last of the gifts, including those last minute oh my god I forgot them presents, and cooking my little heart out hoping everything I make will be up to "dish up to other people" standard!  I do have the fail safe of the supermarket being open late if the need arises.

With a little help from my spiritual friends I should make it through the day and be fresh and cheery for Christmas. (Usually the christmas opening presents photos tell a different story).

So keep your chins up chaps for Christmas comes only once a year and in two sleeps it will all be over with bar the putting out of the rubbish and returning unwanted gifts, if you get any that is!
