I'm gonna go for it

"It" being applying for the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) degree. I attended the open evening last night and found a very helpful and supportive team there to answer all questions and fears. It made me smile to see the common questions on the board were all ones I had asked myself.
So I came home feeling postive and motivated and thats needed just to fill in the paperwork required! I've arranged two referees already and have found all the legal paperwork I needed now all I have to do is write a 200 to 300 word essay on why I want to be an ECE teacher. (Thats why I'm on here procastinating). I've also rewritten my address book, cleaned the toilet and bathroom, made all the beds ...you get the picture.
So what do they want me to write, would they appreciate my humour, use words like "my husband wants me to get a real job and I don't so I decided to study instead", or should I go all airy fairy on them. Use words like "passion, fulfillment and life long dream." Perhaps honesty might work..."after years of dealing with bastard customers in retail, I'll take a 2 year old any day!"
I have to get my application in asap so I need to think of something soon, like today!

The good part about the degree t hrough the Open polytechnic and Ucol is that you don't have to work in a ECE setting for 15 hours a week. I can work where I like for as long as I like except for a five week placement once a year. Yippee I can still fulfil my obligations in Playcentre.

Right enough mucking around, I'm off to pen to paper and let the inspiration flow....
