Neil was given the granddaddy of all crayfish from a friend this weekend. He was caught near Stewart Island and "apparently" was a small one compared to some they were catching. So after cooking it in the shed (cause I can't stand the smell) he settled in for a nice snack. Then Ethan came along...
| Dad, whats that? A crayfish, do you want some? Nope. |
| Dad, why are you breaking its leg? To get the meat, do you want some? Nope. |
| Are those it's eyes? Yep, do you want some? Nope. |
| Knock, knock its skin is hard. Yep, do you want some? Nope. |
And on it went until the "skin" was a pile of debris on the plate..... and he didn't try any LOL.
It was like deja vu for a day many years ago...

| My god daughter Stephanie aged 3 watching a much younger Neil eat crayfish. |
| And she tried some too, loved it and helped Neil eat a whole crayfish. |
I'm sure by the time my kids are grown they will love crayfish as much as Neil does!
