Its under 4 weeks until christmas....

And I've started thinking about my Christmas layouts already. I like to do layouts on the tree, the day, the gifts. Some years I do traditional and others I've done modern. I try to do a different slant on things as 100 layouts on the same topics can get boring after a while!
Here are some previous layouts:
This was one of last years layouts, inspired by something I saw in another magazine. The tree is actually a tree decoration but quite a flat one.

The journalling. If you need to explain a layout it doesn't have enough journalling.

Mum was always big on Santa visits and here I am at two being terrified by this scary Santa. My kids haven't done the Santa thing...its hard to find this service now.
Heres the whole family in matching dresses, I'm amazed that Mum restrained her self from making a shirt for Lance in the same fabric. The fabric had little western wagons all over it...what was she thinking?

Just love that old pram and those little shoes.

Westerns gift layout from when he was two, a spoiled little rotter! I made the xmas present boxes, added raffia ribbon and the Santa for a simple but effective look.

Another scraplift, sometimes you don't need photos to tell a story and this one is about the ornanments we have on our tree and how I give the boys one each year to build their own collection.
Waiting waiting waiting for the parade to start this morning, the whole Playcentre turned out to watch after selling cupcakes all morning to fundraise for the new playground.
One for you and one for me, dividing up the loot
Icecreams before the parade outside Carrington Park
Karin buying the cupcakes actually made most of them! She's a good sort!
Watching the parade, the sun was bright and the treats just kept coming.
This Neils sisters Lynda and Sheryl with Lynda's daughter Nicole during an over indulgent christmas day at home. The fireplace was decorated by Sheryl and is only a fraction of what was decorated.

My best memories of christmas are the ones we spent with Neils family when his parents and Sheryl were still alive. Sheryl always went all out decorating the house and there was always a feast to be had....Elsie's roast spuds were to die for! The kids played with their new toys while the parents and rellies blobbed out in front of the tv for the afternoon. Often several snoring their lunch off. I remember one year Aidan and Arie got the shock of their lives when during the afternoon one of the adults came to them with an extra present saying Santa needed his presents back and this was what they were meant to get....a set of new plastic ears each! Aidan cried and Arie laughed. It was very funny but probably not if you were 7 years old.
Arie's new ears, Aidan is off somewhere crying! LOL!
