Gasp gasp just coming up for air between assignments. My first three assignments have been submitted and I have 6 weeks to write the next three. Then its my turn for a 2 week break before diving into the next 3 courses which includes a 5 week placement where I will have to do real work with real hours while juggling the kids and homelife LOL.
I have had time for a few other things like resigning...resigning from the parent support group at school, resigning from the toy library and resigning myself to never having time to slob out in front of the tv again or for at least the next 3 years. Except for True Blood that is!
I get to walk to school twice a day a terribly long journey of about 200 yards with my kids and of course the weekly grocery shopping. Lately Mum has had to come along as her car is in repairland far far away it seems cause its been 3 weeks now...hurry up!
I seem to be spending huge amounts of time in the local libraries but alas in the non fiction and reference sections not the fiction department. Still my knowledge of māori legends have increased greatly as research for my studies.
I'm loving these stories so much I've started to buy them beginning with In the Beginning the artwork is amazing. I've read the Fish of Maui so often to Ethan I can recite most of it now and its nice to know that a local lake is the eye of Maui's fish.
Today I got home from Playcentre in Eketahuna, yes its a real place, to a huge parcel of reference books from Open Polytech, I love that you can browse their library on line and with a click of the mouse the books are winging their way to you. Free return as well. Must remember not to highlight in them like I have started to do with mine, terrible I know, but I got sick of trying to find the quotes and information I needed all the time.
Love you more than my highlighter!
