What ever happened to these shows?

I despair for today's television, it seems to be a never ending round of reality programs and bad American canned laughter humour. We have a million channels and nothing decent to watch it seems some days.

It would be great if we could get to see some of the good old programs again, I've rounded up a few I remember...

I use to love watching the Ma and Pa Kettle movies on Sundays, classic humour at its best. You didn't need colour to be funny or entertaining. Ethan thought something was wrong with the TV when he saw a program with no colour for the first time.

Aaahhhh, the Fonz, Ritchie and the gang were always good for a laugh, I loved Lost in Space, especially the robot and every Sunday evening the whole family sat down to watch the Wonderful World of Disney, they varied from classic cartoons to real life animal adventures. Always interesting.

This is when the quality of programming went downhill, but as a teenager I liked them, kinda lame now though.

I still love to watch MASH, and still cry when Radar goes home.

The Waltons, I wonder if its as good as I remember, I loved the grandparents.

The Ingalls will always be a favourite too, recently I got the first series out of the video shop and Western really enjoyed them too. We had been reading the books together too.

I will also admit to watching:

it's probably what put me off American sitcom....except Two and Half Men and The Big Bang Theory of course!

I love British humour and these ones are again, timeless:

So TVNZ get your sh*t together and get better programs, I, for one, am sick of reality tv!
