This year Neil and I resolved to organise the kids rooms, like a lot of modern children they have far too many things! Back in my day...well you know the saying! Neil's idea was to open the wheelybin and start tossing but I managed to steer him in this direction instead..... with some spare timber Neil spent two days whipping up a shelving unit for Ethan's room and a desk for Western. I so love being married to a practical man armed with a power drill! LOL.
Western's shit stuff stack in one corner, there is a bed under there...somewhere.
The space where the desk is to go...
One PS2 and a very old computer now have a home
24 hours later, the end result. Neil measured the PS2 game cases to make sure they fitted onto the shelf.
We used the space behind the door to stack the bookcases, don't worry they are screwed to the wall.
Ethan's room now has a wall filled with shelving for his toys.
Later on this space will have extra shelves put in for shoes, once the toys move out.
We made room for the Lego table , later a shelf can be added for a computer or PS2
Its good to have somewhere to put those bigger toys and yet more books. I love that my boys love books, you can never have too many books!
So thank you Neil you have made my year and ticked one thing of my New Year list.
This is a gift I made last night for my Mum's sewing room, a $3.00 vintage sewing pattern, some embellishments from the sewing shop a frame and one hour later I have one of a kind art for Mum's birthday. Thanks Pinterest!
