Ethan goes to preschool

Today was Ethan's second day at Carterton Preschool. He was kept very busy playing with other children and even did his first bit of phonics work. He did a great job of writing his f...proud mother moment here!
Doesn't he look so handsome in his preschool tshirt.  I picked him up at lunchtime today, he would normally go until 3.30 but he has been having afternoon sleeps for the last week so I wanted him home early. Honest!

I've always been a firm advocate for Playcentre and parent led services but have made the move to the dark side of teacher led services for Ethan. We go together everywhere and he needs to gain confidence away from me. I have already decided he is not going to school when he turns 5 but we will wait until Term 1 next year.

I was very nervous both on his first day and today about leaving him there but the ladies at the preschool are a great bunch of ladies and also honest. So when I rang to see how he was they said he probably did need to come home. That made me feel better about sending him there, they won't just keep him there so they get the funding but have his best interests at heart. So two days a week he will be at preschool and I will be at playcentre. It did feel weird today running  a session without him there and I'm sure it will take some time to adjust but I will just have to put on my big girl pants and get on with it!
