Time to get real

On man I knew this time was coming, just hoped it would be later in life. Its time to get real and get off the couch (or computer chair) and get healthy. I have tipped the scales at 150 kgs and not my body is telling me its not happy. Actually its been telling me that for years but now its getting really mad.

I have been undergoing lots of medical tests and do need surgery for removing my gall bladder but it won't be done until I lose weight, a lot of weight. I could have real issues during and after surgery that the Dr won't risk unless my case becomes acute. (infection sets in or the stone gets caught in the duct). He has referred me to the nutrition person and will see me again in 6 months. He also said if I didn't do something about my weight I would be dead by 55. But he has such a sexy accent I could almost forgive him for saying that LOL.

So now its time to put to use all those tools Weight Watchers have given me over the years to use, menu planning, shopping when not hungry, regular weighing of me and the rest of the family cause it is going to have to be a group effort. We all need to turn the tv off and get moving and busy.
But it will have to start next week once I talk to my GP about the blood pressure readings I've had all week. I feel really nervous about doing anything to strenous until he says its ok.

Bright side is all the new clothes shopping I'll get to do soon!
