Another successful weekend...

I have just completed a very satisfying and successful weekend. I spent the weekend at the Angus Inn in Lower Hutt for a National Playcentre Education meeting. I arrived 2 hours early so got to wander around the Westgate Plaza which was across the road from the hotel. 2 hours of bliss looking in those shops that you can't take kids in. You can tell they don't want kids in them cause you wouldn't be able to fit a pram in there.

I found a shop called Kikki.k which has amazing upmarket stationery including these awesome folders for organising your home at 49.95 each. I luuuuvvvvv stationery, it started with getting new school books each year and opening up to that new front page. My books always started out neat but quickly trailled off.

They had walls of colour coordinated stationery, I could imagine my home office (if I had one LOL) looking like these photos. I just loved this shop but only walked out with a catalogue LOL.
I also brought myself a nice pair of red shoes (only $25 at the Warehouse), a new black handbag so I don't have to use my Playcentre bag when I go out, and a nice necklace of red, black and silver beads.

The meeting was really productive and I networked furiously during the breaks to get resources for our own Playcentre Assn. The meeting was all about the parent training program we run at Playcentre, it was nice to be in a room with like minded people and to come back enthused about my role this year. The food was great, my roomie had the same body clock as me (not a party animal like some) and I even read a book while I was away.
The best thing was coming home to happy kids and a happy dad who even made a pav for pudding last night. Very yum!
