Don't blink....there goes Christmas!

Well there it goes.....a years worth of hype for one day which was gone in a mere 24 hours! Thank goodness for that. The kids were finally asleep around 11 last night. The experts reckon sugar and junk food don't hype kids up, well they should have been here last night! Today the kids are on a fruit, sandwich and water diet.
Neil did really well Christmas eve with his Santa evidence, the boys woke to a note from Santa and Santa footprints. Western investigated the footprints for a while and said it looked like baking soda but the Gran came in and said naughty Santa he left powder snow behind in her place too so the illusion is safe for another year!
Ethan with the note from "Santa"
Western thought it was funny that Rudolph ate the crunchie bar we left out.

The kids got some lovely gifts which are keeping them occupied today. You know, its kinda peaceful playing with Lego, we have found all the knight lego to go in the wooden castle I got the kids for Christmas. I thought it came with people but the picture on the box lied! It pays to read the fine print.
A basic wooden castle, hopefully an open ended play toy for years to come, not a five minute wonder.

Two kings of Camelot guarding the castle...LOL!
Western hangs with the big boys, Regan and Aidan.
Why oh why did I buy this! Its so noisy!
We spent yesterday with Neil's side of the family starting with a nice cooked breakfast at Faye and Aidan's house. Molly came too and got a few nibbles. Then we went home to finish getting ready for the big family lunch at Neil's brothers house Stan. We had a neat christmas lunch with everybody bringing something for lunch and the cousins all getting on well. We did have to introduce a few them to each other cause they haven't seen each other for a couple of years but by the time we left they were all getting on well. We had a big family photo done on Alan's flash camera with a timer, I'm waiting impatiently for that to arrive via email so I can get a copy scapbooked and blogged!
Faye and Ethan check out Ethan's Christmas tshirt.

I'm so pleased the weather was not so hot, it made for a much more enjoyable day. Hope you all had good days too!
